It’s not a cactus, and it isn’t a regular tree either. What is it then? It’s the very special looking Joshua tree! Here's a description from an information board at the wonderfully rugged national park in California that is named after the tree:Explorers, naturalists, and writers have described the tree as a strange, grotesque, peculiar, bristly, stiff, ungraceful, repulsive, bizarre, endlessly varying and spine-studded and spiteful looking. How would you describe it?
